Overview
- Annual ASEI STEM Scholarships: Every year, the Foundation awards three US$1,000 scholarships to undergraduate or graduate students pursuing STEM degrees. The scholarships recognise academic excellence, leadership and community involvement. They are presented at the ASEI National Convention.
- Kalpana Chawla Ford Motor Scholarship: In partnership with Ford Motor Company, ASEI has awarded US$3,000 scholarship to a deserving full‑time graduate student in aerospace engineering at the ASEI Convention in the past. Applicants must be ASEI members and maintain a minimum 3.5 GPA.
Eligibility & Application
- Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must be enrolled full‑time in an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in engineering, technology, science or mathematics. Minimum GPA requirements (3.5 or higher out of 4.0) apply.
- Application Materials: A completed application form, official transcripts, a resume, two letters of recommendation, and an essay describing career goals and community involvement. Applicants must also demonstrate interest or research in engineering.
- Selection Process: A scholarship committee composed of ASEI Foundation board members and industry experts reviews applications based on academic achievement, leadership, service, and alignment with ASEI’s mission. Winners are notified before the national convention and recognised on stage.
